TBR Tuesday – 3/5/13

All right, all right, after my deviation from the plan AGAIN in February, I’m going to make an attempt to get back on track this month. Here’s what I’ve got lined up for March.

Currently in my TBR Pile:

As usual, I’ve got a monthly book club reading assignment, along with the other books I want to read. I’ve got debuts to read (already read Level 2 this month, so it’s not listed here), series to keep up with, and books to read before I attend book events (like the Beth Revis signing mid-month, and Teen Book Con in April!). I’m sure Rika will now be thrilled that she’s not in my book club. I have yet to read any Steinbeck, and now I’m not sure how I’m going to feel about him!

Dystopian YA Novel: Through the Ever Night, by Veronica Rossi Sci-Fi YA Novel: Shades of Earth by Beth Revis Fantasy YA Novel: Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger Class Novel: East of Eden by John Steinbeck Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes and Michelle Rowen

Yeah, this is a very tall order, and I don’t think it’s going to happen, but a girl can dream.

Reading Challenge Progress

My books this months should fulfill a couple of challenge check-offs.

  • Through the Ever Night and Shades of Earth will let me cross both of those series off my list for Seriously Series.
  • Keeper of the Lost Cities and Falling Kingdoms will count toward square I3 for Book Bingo.
  • Through the Ever Night, Shades of Earth, and Level 2 will count toward square N4 of Book Bingo.
  • East of Eden goes toward square B3 for Book Bingo.
  • Level 2 gets added to my list for the Debut Author Challenge.

And then of course, Level 2, Shades of Earth, Falling Kingdoms, and Keeper of the Lost Cities go toward my personal goal for reading the books before I see their authors at various upcoming events. It’s going to be a busy month!

  1. Whoa. You are so ambitious! I do not have the guts to enter a challenge for a book. I am reading TtEN for a read-along though. I really like this idea you have here. TBR Tuesday. Is this a meme or a personal feature? I want to do something similar, but I cannot think of a name. Review Pile? Lol.

    • Hahaha! Review Pile sounds like a great name for it! :D

Yeah, it’s something I started as a personal feature for my blog, I guess, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a similar meme out there. I do it on the first Tuesday of each month, and then at the end of the month I do a Reading Recap, to see how well I stuck to my plan. I don’t know if anyone else cares about these posts, but they’re great for me to keep track of my reading. :)

  2. Looks like you’re in for some good reading this month. I have Shades of Earth from the library and I think the due date is almost here so I better get reading! Looking forward to your reviews :)

  3. I have no idea how you manage to read and write so much. :) Forewarning.. don’t tell me if you start reading Steinbeck.. one of my less attractive hobbies is spoiling the endings of his books for other people. (and I’ve read almost all of them although he is my nemesis.)

    • LOL. I seriously wouldn’t mind if you spoiled the ending, probably. I’m seriously kinda of hating this book. Been trying to force myself to read it and I can’t wait to be done with it. x_x
