Hi, my name is Kelley.
My brother says I look like Skrillex. I’m not so sure.
I like reading books. Though my tastes are quite eclectic and varied, I seem to have acquired a rather voracious appetite for young adult (YA) novels. It all started when my sister asked me to accompany her to a book signing at a local bookshop back in 2010. I didn’t know anything about the book or the author, but by the end of the night, I was hooked! Now, my sister and I attend every YA book signing we can get to, and together we have an ever-growing mountain of YA books to be read.
Aside from YA, I also have a penchant for fantasy, memoirs, books that teach me things, books that make me think, and books that blanket me in beautiful, breathtaking prose.
Oh, you want to know what I’m like, outside of books? By day, I work as a GIS analyst, doing all kinds of projects involving maps and data and analysis and cartography and other cool things. I have a husband and a cat, and together we enjoy things like video games, watching good anime & sci-fi/fantasy shows on Netflix, researching random topics, reading books aloud together, and playing Magic: the Gathering. I am also a certified pastry chef, and I would love to bake some tasty treats for you.

About Another Novel Read
I’m a member of a small book club and we call our group A Novel Read. We like it because the phrase is a double entendre. At the end of each book club meeting, we take a vote on whether the book was a novel read (adjective, noun – a unique and enjoyable read) or a novel read (noun, verb – just another book finished, nothing special). We think we’re cute and clever and enjoy it immensely. So, naturally, my blog name is an extension of that, and I like it very much indeed.
This blog is where I get to do whatever I want in regards to books. You’ll find reviews, fun book blog memes, discussions about blogging and about books, cover reveals, author interviews, among other things.

This page sounds amazing. I love that you and your husband are nerds together (and I use that term in the most positive way possible!) because my husband and I are too! We watch Buffy and sci-fi TV religiously and can’t miss a comic con. Also, baking is my second favorite thing. After reading! You’re awesome!
